Police: Sioux Falls man pointed handgun at driver in road rage incident
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - A Sioux Falls man is facing an assault charge after he pointed a handgun at another driver because he was cut off, police say.
Police say the incident began Wednesday night when stopped cars were waiting for a train to pass near Cliff Avenue and 14th Street. Several cars began making U-turns when one of the cars cut off another. Police say the car that was cut off honked its horn.
The driver of the car that cut off the other, 23-year-old Clay Thomas Flanagan, pulled out the handgun and pointed it at the honking driver, police say.
Flanagan was arrested for aggravated assault.
