Molitor Says Tough Decisions Loom As Twins Struggles Continue
Former Minnesota Manager Still Hoping Club Can Overcome Struggles
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Through 64 games the Minnesota Twins are 26-38 and ten games out of a playoff spot.
The last time they were this bad they would fire their manager, Paul Molitor, at the end of the 2018 season.
Molitor happened to be in Sioux Falls this week as part of the Hy-Vee/Sanford Legends For Kids festivities and baseball clinic.
Though it’s been three years since he was let go, the native Minnesotan and former Twins player still remains close to the organization. While he still thinks there’s time to turn things around, Molitor knows the clock is ticking. That’s going to lead to some difficult decisions at next month’s trade deadline as the Twins try to weigh whether to maintain their current core or rebuild.
